1st Viewing
Format: Netflix WI
Venue: Rivendell
Finally got around to watching the movie that gave us that fantastic "Hitler is pissed" internet meme. Here's the writeup I did for Hollywood.com. If you don't like it, tell me in my bunker so I can freak out about it.

Dawn of the Dead (2004)
Revisit
Format: HD-DVD
Venue: Rivendell
It's been a while since I've seen Zack Snyder's remake, but the recent Mondo screening of the George Romero original piqued my interest to revisit. I still think it's a damn fine remake that incorporates changes required of so drastic a change in the film and sociopolitical landscape since the 70s. There are some bizarre cinematography choices with over-saturated color that I don't quite understand, but other than that I have very few complaints.

Incredibly strange movie. Netflix advertised this movie as an actual documentary, it is not. Mark Hamill is brilliant.

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (2004)
Revisit
Format: HD-DVD
Venue: Rivendell (Toni's Potterthon)
I was in and out during the wife's Potterthon due largely to having to work, but I did see all of this one again. Still my favorite.

Shutter (2004)

Format: Netflix WI

Fantastic Thai horror film with some truly unsettling imagery. Curious to see the American remake now, but I know it'll be utter shite by comparison. Great ending.

Double Dare (2004)
Revisit
Format: Netflix WI
Venue: Rivendell
Wonderful documentary about badass stuntwoman Zoe Bell. It captures the exact moment she met Quentin Tarantino and was offered the job of doubling Uma in Kill Bill. Her reaction to that phone call never fails to bring a tear to my eye. Highly recommend this one.
